What is Profhilo Structura®? Profhilo® Structura is a Hyaluronic acid injectable gel, specifically indicated to regenerate subcutaneous fat in the face. Therefore an ideal product for those wanting to combat age related changes in the subcutaneous layer of skin namely sinking or sagging skin. Structura not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels aging and sagging tissue. How does Profhilo® Structura® work? Profhilo® Structura contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid (HA) that is injected into the subcutaneous skin layer targeting the fat pads within the dermis to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin and counteract the natural sagging sand flattening of the facial angles that occur with aging. The combination of both high and low molecular weight Hyaluronic acid in Structural allows for immediate hydration and long-term structural improvements. Where can I have Profhilo® Structura? Profhilo® Structura is designed specifically to help with the regeneration of the fat pads in the face. There is a specific protocol that is followed to the preauricular area at the side of the face. Two treatments 4 weeks apart are required to achieve optimum results and optimum longevity. To maintain results, a further treatment is recommended every 5 to 8 months. Profhilo® treatment should not affect your daily life too much. Our medical advice is that you should avoid wearing make-up, expect for mineral-based make-up (which we can apply in the clinic for you) after the treatment. Our preferred brand is YoungBlood as they are formulated from 100% organic ingredients which shouldn’t irritate the injection sites. We also recommend that you do not go to the gym, or use its facilities like the sauna, steam-room or swimming pool on the same day as treatment. You should also avoid touching the treated areas as this increases the risk of infection.
