Your Glow Up for Christmas: How to Plan Party-Season Skin That Still Looks Like You
The invitations are landing, the diary is filling up, and somewhere between the work do and the family photos you'd quite like your skin to show up for you.
Here's the good news. November is one of the best months of the year to work on your skin. The evenings are dark, the sun is low and there's still enough time for treatments to settle before the big nights. The trick is planning, not panic-booking the week before.
At Renew, our festive approach is simple: glow, not "done". Here's how we'd plan your Christmas skin, step by step.
Step one: start with what your skin actually needs
The best Christmas skin plans start with a proper look at your skin, not a guess.
That's why we're so excited to welcome ChiChi, our new practitioner, to the Renew team this November. ChiChi is running our Skin MOT: a full skin check-up that includes Observ skin analysis, a tailored facial and microneedling. Observ shows what's happening beneath the surface, from pigmentation to congestion, so your plan is built around your skin and nothing else.
If you'd rather start gently, ChiChi's Glow Up Facial is needle-free and uses AHAs, antioxidants and growth factors to brighten and refresh.
Skin MOT: £100
Glow Up Facial: £40
ChiChi's clinic dates: Thursday 12, Tuesday 17 and Thursday 26 November, then Tuesday 1, Thursday 10 and Tuesday 15 December
Both are open to new and existing patients, and they make a lovely early Christmas present to yourself. Book a consultation or call us on 0330 111 8547.
Step two: remember, remember, it's Peel November
There's a reason we call ourselves The House of Peel. Autumn and winter are the safest, smartest time of year to peel. UV levels are lower, you're spending more time indoors, and it's far easier to protect fresh skin while it renews.
The Perfect Peel® is our signature treatment. It's a medium-depth peel built around glutathione, the body's master antioxidant, to brighten, smooth texture and even out tone. If you need to go a little deeper, The Perfect Peel® Superblend works at both medium and superficial depths in one treatment.
What the week after a peel looks like:
Days 1 to 2: skin looks and feels much like normal, perhaps a little tight.
Days 3 to 5: light flaking begins. Leave it alone, moisturise and wear SPF every day.
Days 6 to 7: flaking settles and the fresh, brighter skin underneath comes through.
That week is exactly why timing matters. Book your peel at least two weeks before your big event, so the glow arrives before the party does. Our last recommended peel date before Christmas is 15th December.

Step three: why everyone's talking about regeneration
Two words keep coming up in clinic this season: polynucleotides and exosomes. Here's the honest version.
Polynucleotides are injectable treatments made from highly purified DNA fragments. Rather than adding volume, they're designed to support the skin's own repair processes, so they're often talked about for skin quality, fine texture and the delicate under-eye area. They're a prescription-only treatment, so suitability is always decided at a face-to-face consultation with a prescriber. Read more about polynucleotides at Renew.
Exosomes are tiny messengers that cells use to communicate. Applied alongside microneedling, they're being used to support skin recovery and radiance. It's an exciting area, but the research is still young. We'd rather tell you that than overpromise. Find out more about exosomes.
Step four: glow, not "done"
The biggest trend we're seeing right now is what's been called stealth aesthetics. People want to look rested and well. They don't want their friends to be able to tell.
For party season, that usually means focusing on skin quality rather than shape. Skin boosters are micro-injections of a very fine hyaluronic acid that hydrate from within and improve texture and radiance, without changing your features. If your skin looks tired or dehydrated after the clocks change, a booster is often a better festive choice than filler.
That doesn't mean filler has no place. Used with care, it can restore what's been lost. This month we're sharing the story of one of our patients, whose lower face had changed after an injury she had when she was younger. Small, carefully placed amounts of dermal filler gave back the shape her face had lost, and the result looks like her, not like a treatment. You'll find her full story, shared with her kind permission, on our Instagram @renewmedclinic.

Why you won't find a Black Friday deal on injectables here
Every November the discount emails start. Ours won't include injectables.
Your face isn't a bargain buy. Treatments like filler and anti-wrinkle injections should be decided in a consultation, based on what's right for you, never on a countdown clock. Kelly feels strongly about this, and it's one of the reasons patients trust us.
If you'd like to treat someone you love, our Boost & Glow Facial gift voucher is £35 this Black Friday, and it makes a thoughtful early Christmas gift.
Not just for her
International Men's Day falls on 19 November, and more men are walking through our doors than ever. The most common questions? Tired-looking skin, shaving irritation, and "where do I even start?" A Skin MOT or a peel is a great first step, and there's no judgement, only a plan. Read Enhancing Male Skin Health for more.
Your festive glow timeline
Save this, screenshot it, send it to your friend who always leaves it until the last minute.
